In early 2001, the new Ontario wrestling promotion, XWC (Xtreme Wrestling Coalition) launched onto the independent scene, quickly grabbing the attention of the other companies in the province. The XWC was responsible for bringing in talent from the United States, including Mikey Whipwreck, Nova and The Ballard Brothers, and highlighting the up-and-coming talent in Ontario, including Showtime Eric Young, Bobby Roode and more!
